Barrington Ayre Shirtmaker & Tailor is an independent English bespoke tailor and shirtmaker, based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. We specialise in handmade bespoke suits & shirts and tailored garments, made to each client’s individual measurements and preferences.
Founded by Tom Wharton, Barrington Ayre was created to offer a more relaxed, approachable interpretation of traditional British tailoring, without compromising on craftsmanship, quality, or attention to detail.
All garments are designed, cut and made for you, using carefully selected British and European fabrics, with a strong emphasis on fit, longevity and personal service.

As specialist bespoke shirtmakers, we create shirts entirely to your measurements, with full control over cloth, collar style, cuffs, fit and finishing details. Our bespoke shirts are designed for comfort, durability and everyday wear, whether for business, formal occasions or leisure.
Our bespoke tailoring follows the same principles: garments shaped to your posture, proportions and lifestyle, refined through fittings to achieve a natural, comfortable fit.

Clients are welcome to visit us by appointment at our Cirencester showroom, located in the heart of the Cotswolds.
We also offer a visiting tailor service across the UK, including regular appointments in London and other locations, making bespoke tailoring accessible wherever you are.
