Summer Jackets - Dugdale - Tropicalair

Dugdale Bros Summer Jacket Fabric with Barrington Ayre Tailors

Continuing our look at Summer jackets, in this article we will be looking at the Tropicalair offering from Dugdale Bros.

In 1896, Henry Percy and Frederick Herbert Dugdale established their cloth merchants business in Huddersfield, the centre of Britain’s fine worsted industry.

Dugdale remained in the family for two generations, through prosperous times and perilous war years until it was later acquired by Keith Charnock and now chairman Rob Charnock.

bespoke summer jacket using Dugdale mockleno fabric

Dugdales Tropicalair bunch is an elegant, high performance summer cloth made from luxurious merino yarn. Available in two heritage variations: 'High Twist' and 'Mockleno'.

There is a huge range of colours and the weave is reminiscent of old Prep school Airtex shirts and is incredibly crease resistant, meaning that you can literally squish your jacket up in a bag and it will 'pop' back into shape when you get it out.
