Bespoke tailored clothing, made for you in the Cotswolds
Barrington Ayre Shirtmaker & Tailor makes bespoke and made-to-measure clothing for men and women from our showroom on Market Place, Cirencester. Every suit, jacket, coat, shirt and pair of trousers in this collection is cut to your own measurements, in a cloth and style you choose with us. We have been making clothes since 2008, and our workroom is led by a Savile Row-trained tailor.

How the bespoke process works
- Your appointment. We set aside about an hour at our Cirencester showroom, or come to you with our visiting tailor service. We talk about what you will wear the clothing for, look through cloth, and design the details together.
- Measuring. We take a full set of measurements and note your posture and how you like your clothes to fit.
- Making. Your garment is cut to your measurements and made with care and attention to detail, from the lapel roll to working buttonholes.
- Fitting and delivery. We fit the finished piece and make any final adjustments. Most commissions take six to eight weeks from order to delivery, depending on the cloth.
British heritage cloth
The cloth makes the garment. We hold an extensive range of suitings, tweeds and linings, with a particular love of British heritage mills. That includes William Bliss Cotswold Country Tweed, woven at the Chipping Norton Tweed Mill, just up the road from our showroom. Not sure where to start? Our guide to tweed explains the main cloths and checks.
