Barrington Ayre is a bespoke tailor and shirtmaker serving Hereford and Herefordshire. Our visiting tailor comes to your home or office, so you can be measured and fitted without leaving the county. Our showroom is on the Market Place in Cirencester.
Since 2008 we've made suits, shirts, tweed and country clothing, wedding suits and ladies' tailoring, cut to your measurements from thousands of British and European cloths. You get Savile Row-trained tailoring without a trip to London, and without anyone making you feel you're on Savile Row.

Tweed and country clothing for Herefordshire
Herefordshire is shooting and farming country, and much of what we make here is built for it: shooting suits, breeks, field coats, waistcoats and tweed jackets that work as hard on a wet drive as they do at a country wedding afterwards. We cut them with room to shoulder a gun and in cloths that stand up to weather.
Much of our tweed is woven just over the county line in the Cotswolds. We're agents for William Bliss Cotswold Country Tweed, woven at the Chipping Norton Tweed Mill, and carry heritage cloth from Fox Brothers and mills across Britain. Finish the outfit with a bespoke tweed flat cap in the same cloth.

How it works
- Your first appointment. At your home, your office or our showroom. We talk through what you want, choose the cloth, settle the design and take your measurements. A deposit starts production.
- Your pattern is cut. Our cutters in Yorkshire make a pattern from your measurements that's yours alone.
- Your fitting, around four weeks in. You try the garment at baste stage so we can perfect the fit, at home in Herefordshire or in Cirencester.
- Delivery, around eight weeks from your first appointment. Final adjustments are made by our own tailor before your clothes are handed over.
